Frequently asked questions
What time zone is UTC in?
UTC is on Coordinated Universal Time. Its UTC offset is UTC+00:00 right now.
Does UTC observe daylight saving time?
UTC does not change its clocks for daylight saving, so its UTC offset stays the same all year.
Is UTC the same as GMT?
Both are UTC+00:00, but UTC is the time standard and never changes. GMT is the time zone the United Kingdom uses in winter; in summer London moves to British Summer Time (UTC+01:00).
